The philarmonic band was created in 1932, by George Katsoufis, a merchandise from Gortynia, married in Lechena and lived many years. He had such a passion with the band , so as it was said he made all of his suppliers to pay a small amount, for tje band. He died in old age, and he saw his creation at least 50 years of performance. The philarmonic is deeply connected with the citizen of Lechena, and every event of the area around Lechena, since it a thw main part of the cultural events. It consists the entrance of the professional recognition for many of its musicians, so they work in bands of big cities and bands of the army.
This moment philarmonic ORFEUS, is consisted from 50 skilled musicians and 40 students, who are the promising future of the band. Every presentation of the philarmonic impresses everyone and counts many participations in events in many places along such as Aitoliko, Messologgi, Konitsa, Patra and Athens concert hall and many other places.
